A mainly monochromatic exploration of subject matter in line with theme. I am finding it hard to find the right subject matter that will inspire my final works.

Experimenting with wax pastels and water, but I am finding it difficult to create realistic or even aesthetically effective works using this medium.

I am having difficulty creating accurately representational images using acrylic paint. I am however starting to understand oil pastel techniques, and would like to explore combining mediums.

In this image I combined acrylic and oil pastels. I worked quickly and expressively, but would be interested to see how a more realism based or monochromatic version of this work would look like.

Here is a black and white approach to the previous concept, and also a more realism charged approach to the gripping hand works.
