Since my last post I have concentrated on capturing some new source imagery. I know have a plethora of new images of myself to explore through drawing and painting.

The compositions of my hands and feet, hands grasping and distorting fatty flesh, hold the most meaning to me. the foetal position nudes however I find lack the meaning I am trying to convey through my work.

I am enjoying the combination of ink and oil pastels, and am interested to further explore the combining of mediums. dry and wet materials offer possibilities for creating texture, and the use of pencils and palette knifes to cut into oil pastilles could create smooth muted contrast to highly textured areas.

Moving forward I am going to explore using acrylic paints to capture the hand, foot and flesh compositions.
