I’ve been exploring grotesque imagery, and experimenting with the how the colour palette effects the atmosphere of the image. I have found more success in muted and realistic colour palette’s. The acrylic paintings of flask photographs of my mouth have had the most dramatic effect. I would like to experiment further using broader brushstrokes, trying to capture a feeling rather than something too caught up in reality. As I move forward I will increase the scale of the works.
