Further development – Final Piece?

In the final rendition of the sculptural flower drawings, I have now increased the size of the canvas and subsequently the skull. I have increased the size due to the previous creation hindering the view of the image due to there not being enough space or also the flowers being too large? I am aware there are multiple ways this issue could have been addressed but I felt increasing the overall size of the work would allow for the visually appealing nature of the work to not be lost. I have also used wood glue on the back of the canvas as some flowers tended to fall out as the wilted. This will allow for the lifetime of the flowers to be integrated into the work.

The final effect is still a little messy even with the increased size, but as the flowers wilt the image becomes more clear, further embodying my theme Memento Mori. With one thing dying giving space for another to become alive. I feel the increase in size and the lack of clearness in the image means that the work can be experienced in different ways depending on the distance it is viewed from. If one is too close the image is unclear and the viewer will have difficulty understanding the meaning behind the work unless they take the time to step back. With the imagery being easily understandable I believe this creates the air of mystery the work needed, easing my worry that the artwork would be too literal and and that it would almost force feed the concept to the viewer.
