Inspired by the work of Roman Signer, and the way in which he explores cause and effect through artworks in the form of experiments, I’ve developed on my previous work by increasing the number of clay rectangles used. Using multiple pieces emphasizes how each memory is unique, and shows the different stories that occurred simultaneously.

interested by the performative possibilities after attending Samantha Dick’s “Body as Material” workshop, I would like to have the piece take place viewed by an audience in order to have the most impact. I would also not right anything alongside the piece and allow it to be interpreted by the viewer.

I feel the work is resolved except for one thing I would change if I where to exhibit the piece, which would be the destination. I envision the piece in an empty concrete space, so that the clay rectangles could fall onto the floor and stay there, a memory of the story that took place.
