Exploring the way in which the human-less eye of a camera constantly watching and recording, can stifle and control us. Our actions change when we are being watched and although changed for the better, are no longer honest. Looking at relevant imagery, spherical lens like shapes have found their way into my work, alongside drawings inspired by Muybridge’s photography. The headless human is an image that I feel represents the controlled person. I feel that the ideas I’m experimenting with have potential to be explored extensively, I just need to ensure I explore every path available to me.
I plan to take this imagery on into printmaking, and find ways to combine the mediums.
